Farm shop Fodder posted on social media that it was unable to open its cafe this morning because of a lack of running water.
Its shop remains open as normal, with eight days to go before Christmas.
A Yorkshire Water spokesman said:
“We are currently dealing with a high number of burst pipes in the region due to the weather conditions. We are aware of the burst on Wetherby Road and will be attending to complete repairs as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

Yorkshire Water also said this morning it was readying its leakage detection and repair teams for an increase in bursts and leaks caused by an expected thaw.
It urged homeowners to take measures to prevent damage.
Homes are particularly at risk if they have exposed water pipes on the outside of the house or an outdoor tap, which are vulnerable to the cold weather. The spokesman said:
“One way to prevent a frozen pipe is to wrap them in foam insulation to protect them from the cold weather, which is also known as lagging.”
Also this morning, Harrogate Town confirmed its fixture this afternoon at Doncaster Rovers has been called off because of a frozen pitch.
Ripon water supplies restored but traffic problems remain
The burst main on North Street in Ripon has been repaired after parts of the city endured many hours without water for the second time in four days yesterday.
However, the section of road between the clock tower junction and the BP petrol station remains closed and barriered off.
Residents await updates on social media from Yorkshire Water on the progress made and number of properties affected.
The company said this morning that water supplies had been restored to homes in the Ripon area.
John Graham, of Joda Freight, which has been employed by Yorkshire Water to deliver bottled water to areas affected by the mains burst and loss of supply, is on standby to deliver more pallets this morning.

He slept in his vehicle overnight and told the Stray Ferret this morning:
“We delivered approximately 24 tonnes of water to Market Square and other parts of the city yesterday and are ready to top up supplies as required today.”
One of the drop off points for the pallets of water was on North Street.
About 4,000 homes in Ripon were without water for most of Friday after a mains burst on North Street. A mains on the same street also burst yesterday.

Residents on Harrogate’s Duchy Road lose water after pipe bursts
People living on Harrogate’s Duchy Road were without water today after a pipe burst.
Yorkshire Water was carrying out planned work to repair a section of pipe.
But a Yorkshire Water spokeswoman explained things didn’t go entirely to plan. She said:
“During that repair, an unexpected burst happened nearby. This was then repaired live by the guys on site already there.
“It’s unclear how many houses were affected but I can tell you we had five calls from customers.
“This issue should now be resolved, customers may experience low pressure as their water comes back on.”

Yorkshire Water issues frozen pipes warning as temperature plummets
Yorkshire Water has warned people to take precautions to prevent their pipes bursting during the cold weather.
A severe cold weather warning is currently in place for the Harrogate district and temperatures fell as low as minus five degrees centigrade last night.
A yellow weather warning for snow is currently effective in the district from 10am to 4pm tomorrow.
Yorkshire Water said in a statement today pipes were likely to freeze and urged people to wrap them in foam insulation, called lagging, to prevent them bursting when the frozen water expands. The company added:
“If pipes do freeze, turn the water off at the stop tap and defrost the pipe with a hairdryer.
“Never use a naked flame to defrost a pipe.”
The water company said it was responsible for underground pipes but pipes in gardens, homes, or business premises were often the owner’s responsibility.
Martyn Hattersley, head of demand management at Yorkshire Water, said:
“We’re watching temperatures closely and keeping an eye on our assets, as we do tend to see more bursts during a steep drop in temperature.
We’ll have leakage inspectors out and about every day, as well as using some of the latest technologies to detect and fix leaks as quickly as possible.”

He encouraged customers to do their bit too to reduce the likelihood of a burst. He added:
“The less leaks, the less water wasted and the more that’s left in our pipes to feed the region. It’ll also save you the inconvenience and cost of a frozen or damaged pipe.”

Wetherby Road reopens after weekend closureA section of Wetherby Road in Harrogate reopened this morning after a burst pipe forced it to close for three days.
The busy section between Masham Close and Hookstone Road is now open. The road has also been resurfaced.
Its closure on Friday just before rush hour caused misery for motorists. North Yorkshire County Council, the highways authority, said it hoped it would reopen over the weekend.
But Yorkshire Water said the burst pipe caused “significant damage” and engineers needed more time to complete repairs.
It was thought the road could be closed until tomorrow.

This was the road on Saturday while repairs were ongoing.
Long delays were reported across the weekend with commuters having to find alternative routes.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Water said:
“Our teams have worked hard throughout the weekend to ensure disruption caused by the burst pipe on Wetherby Road were kept to a minimum. Our work has been completed ahead of schedule and the road has now been reopened.”

Engineers tackle major pipe burst on Otley Road in Harrogate
Water was gushing down Otley Road in Harrogate this morning after a pipe burst near the junction with Pannal Ash Drive.
Flowing downhill, the water reached past Harrogate Grammar School, as well as down Cold Bath Road where it was running into driveways and towards garages.
On Otley Road, sandbags had been placed at the door to a flat above So! Bar and Eats to stop the water running into the property.
Engineers from Yorkshire Water were on the scene before 8am to repair the leak. A stop-go traffic control system was put in place and there was no sign of queuing.
