Four youths are being investigated for riding a stolen moped, traffic offences and possession with the intent to supply drugs.
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement today, a police community support officer spotted three youths riding a moped without helmets in Knaresborough yesterday (Sunday, April 7).
It added five youths were subsequently arrested following “police activity” and four are now under investigation.
The statement added:
“House-to-house enquiries were carried out in the Stockwell area yesterday, however any CCTV footage would assist with the investigation.
“If you were in the Stockwell and surrounding areas yesterday between 3.30pm and 5pm please check any CCTV or ring doorbell-type CCTV for a red Yamaha moped and a group of youths.
“If you have footage or any information please contact NYP on 101 quoting reference 12240060502.”

Police issue CCTV appeal to find man after Knaresborough assault
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for help to to identify a man captured on CCTV as part of an investigation into shoplifting and assault.
The force issued a statement this afternoon, which said:
“Officers would like to speak to him about a number of shop thefts in the Knaresborough area, including one at the One Stop shop on March 7 when a member of shop staff was also assaulted.
“They believe he may have information that could assist the investigation.”
Anyone who can help identify him is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, and pass information for incident number 12230042029.

Police release CCTV images after Harrogate burglary
North Yorkshire Police has released CCTV images of a man thought to have information about a burglary at a home in Harrogate.
The burglary took place on Fawcett Drive in Harrogate at about 2am on Friday, May 6.
A man is reported to have entered a property and removed a wallet and cash. No further details have been released.
Police are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the man in the images as they believe he could have information that will help the investigation.

CCTV appeal for four men following attempted theft at Harrogate iStore
Police have released CCTV images of four men they want to identify following an attempted theft at the Harrogate iStore.
According to a statement by North Yorkshire Police today, the four men tried to steal items from the Apple retailer on James Street but failed.
It added they ran along James Street towards Princess Street.
The incident took place in December. No precise date has been given.
