Police have withdrawn an appeal for help finding a woman with a pram in Harrogate.

North Yorkshire Police issued CCTV images in the early hours of this morning of the woman.

Officers said they had concerns for her welfare and were trying to trace her.

But in an update this morning, a police statement said:

“We have spoken to the woman and pleased to confirm that everything is okay.”

Missing Harrogate woman found

A missing Harrogate woman has been found, police have said this afternoon.

The woman, was reported missing by her family on Tuesday, June 20 — six days after she was last seen by neighbours at her flat in Starbeck on June 14 .

North Yorkshire Police issued an urgent appeal for help finding her that day.

The force have now said:

“The 56-year-old woman who went missing from the Starbeck area on Wednesday 14 June has been found.”

She was missing since Wednesday, June 14.

Urgent appeal to find Harrogate woman not seen for two weeks

Police are urgently appealing for information to find a Harrogate woman who has not been seen for two weeks.

Felicia Dunkley, 56, was last seen by neighbours at her flat on Spa Lane in Starbeck just before 6pm on Wednesday, June 14.

She was reported missing by her family on Tuesday, June 20.

North Yorkshire Police said last night concerns were growing for her welfare following enquiries in both North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.

It said in a statement:

“Felicia previously lived in Leeds and she is known to travel by bus to Leeds Bus Station.

“As well as her home in Starbeck, she has also lived in the Euclid Avenue area of Harrogate and often visited the Aldi supermarket on Oak Beck Road.

“She tends to go to busy areas such as shopping centres where she likes to sit down on benches or in seating areas.”

It added:

“Checks have been made with transport hubs, hospitals and homeless shelters without any sign of Felicia.

“It is not known if she has access to money and she does not have a mobile phone.”

Police are urging people to come forward if they have potentially seen Felicia at any point since June 14.

Felicia is described as black, aged 56, 5ft 6in tall, stocky build, medium-length black hair, and she wears glasses.

She is likely to have on a knitted grey cardigan, all dark clothing, and green trainers.

Anyone with information about Felicia’s whereabouts during the past two weeks should contact North Yorkshire Police without delay on 101, select option 1, and speak to the force control room.

Fundraising appeal set up for Sophie Lambert’s funeral

The brother of Harrogate woman Sophie Lambert has set up a crowdfunding appeal for her funeral.

Sophie’s body was found in the River Nidd this week, five days after she wet missing from her home in Starbeck.

Hundreds of people took part in searches to find her.

Her older brother Craig Robinson launched a gofundme appeal yesterday to raise £3,000 to pay for ‘the best funeral for my sister Sophie’.

It was already over halfway towards its target last night.

Craig said Sophie was a bright girl who loved to laugh and had two dogs but had battled suffering every day for 10 years.

Craig shared this photo of his sister.

He added:

“This gofundme is for her funeral for us to be able to give her the best send off ever, please don’t feel pressured into donating as we have already set one up before for fuel and other resources,

“Sophie my little sister what can I say, you’ve grown your wings and flown away, I hope you’re safe up there.”

Body found in search for missing Sophie Lambert

Police searching for missing Harrogate woman Sophie Lambert have found a body.

It was found in the River Nidd near Nidd Gorge this morning.

A North Yorkshire Police statement said:

“It is too early to confirm the identity, but Sophie’s family have been informed and are receiving specialist support. We ask that their privacy is respected.

“We thank everyone who has supported the missing person appeal over the last few days.

“A further update will be issued in due course.”

Sophie, 22, was last seen leaving home in Starbeck on the evening of Friday, June 16.

Her family alerted police later that evening and extensive searches were carried out.

Posters go up as search for missing Sophie continues

Hundreds of posters have gone up around Harrogate and Knaresborough in the search for missing Sophie Lambert.

Four nights have now passed since Sophie, 22, was last seen at her home in Starbeck.

The police search is focusing on the area near the river at Bilton in Nidd Gorge after a member of the public found Sophie’s mobile phone, bank card and jumper there on Saturday morning.

Sophie was last seen on Friday night.

A Facebook group to co-ordinate the search has been set up and already has over 1,000 members. You can visit it here.

Knaresborough printers Sid Horner and Son printed 1,000 posters yesterday showing a photo of Sophie and urging people to report any sightings.

Inspector Graham Waller, the critical incident inspector based at Harrogate, said yesterday there had been “no positive sightings” of Sophie since she vanished and nothing has emerged overnight.

Numerous groups took part in searches along the river and around the Bilton area last night and are continuing to do so this morning.

“Sophie is described as white, 5ft 3in, aged in her early 20s, slim build, with long dark brown hair that is possibly plaited or wavy.

“She has a distinctive scar on her forehead which is likely to be noticeable.

“It is unknown what clothing she has on, but her family said she tends to wear jogging bottoms and has dark green Adidas trainers with a white sole.

CCTV footage released in search for missing Sophie

North Yorkshire Police has released CCTV footage in the search for missing Harrogate woman Sophie Lambert, 22.

Sophie was reported missing from her home in Starbeck at 10.10pm on Friday having last been seen by her family at 7.20pm before she left the house.

CCTV footage taken on the night she disappeared shows she was wearing dark trousers, a black top with a white adidas logo and dark shoes with a white sole. She had her hair tied back and was carrying a bottle with a pink lid.

Concerns are growing for Sophie Lambert.

A police statement said:

“Concerns are growing for her welfare and North Yorkshire Police are currently making extensive house-to-house enquiries to help find her.

“Police searches have continued today in the Nidd Gorge area with assistance from search and rescue.”

She has a distinctive scar on her forehead which is likely to be noticeable.

North Yorkshire Police has today issued a fresh photo of missing Harrogate woman Sophie Lambert, as concerns for her welfare grow.

Sophie, 22, was reported missing from her home in Starbeck at 10.10pm on Friday. She was last seen by her family at 7.20pm before she left the house.

Police issued an urgent appeal for help yesterday by asking anyone with information or possible sightings to get in touch. They said a search and rescue team was taking part in an extensive operation to find her in the Nidd Gorge area.

Police said today concerns were growing for Sophie’s welfare and issued a more recent photo and updated description.
