Roads
Traffic is moving steadily in Harrogate this morning, although that is expected to build up during the morning rush hour.
Roadworks are still in place in Knaresborough at the junction between Wetherby Road and York Road which will cause delays this morning.
The busy junction just past King James’ School and the cemetery has been undergoing resurfacing works for a few weeks and continues to cause delays during rush hour.
The works are expected to continue until August 15.
Trains and buses
No delays or cancellations to report on the trains from Harrogate to Leeds and York this morning.
Harrogate Bus Company still has a diversion in place on its 21 service meaning it is unable to reach Ashbourne Road due to a road closure.
The nearest alternative stop is Morrisons in Boroughbridge. This diversion will be in place until June 30.

Traffic and Travel Alert: Roadworks at Wetherby Road and York Road junction in Knaresborough causing delays
The current roadworks at the junction between Wetherby Road and York Road in Knaresborough are causing delays this morning.
The busy junction just past King James’ School and the cemetery has been undergoing resurfacing works for a few weeks and continues to cause delays during rush hour.
The works are expected to continue until August 15.
If you driving in that direction it may be worth leaving a few minutes earlier.

Traffic and Travel Alert: Temporary Ripon Road lights causing Harrogate queues
Temporary traffic lights are causing delays on Ripon Road coming into Harrogate this morning.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area as the lights are causing queues.
The lights are in place just past Jennyfield Drive coming into Harrogate and have been installed by CityFibre as part of maintenance work.
According to North Yorkshire County Council, the lights will be in place until tomorrow.

Traffic and Travel Alert: North Park Road temporary lights to be in place until Monday
Motorists should expect delays on North Park Road in Harrogate as temporary traffic lights will be in place over the weekend.
The lights, which are in place at the junction with Harcourt Drive, have been put in place as telecommunications company CityFibre carries out work on the street.
It means drivers using North Park Road to get into and out of the town centre should expect delays.
The temporary lights will be in place until April 4, according to North Yorkshire County Council.

Traffic and Travel Alert: Three days of roadworks to start at Prince of Wales roundaboutDrivers could face delays as three days of roadworks start at the Prince of Wales roundabout in Harrogate this morning.
North Yorkshire County Council is carrying out works to the street lighting at the roundabout. The work will include a lane closure on Leeds Road.
Work will take place between 9.30am and 3pm until Saturday, March 26.

Traffic and Travel Alert: Melmerby Green Lane road closure starts this morningA road closure on Melmerby Green Lane near Ripon starts this morning.
Between 7.30am and 5.30pm on Thursday and Friday, a section of Melmerby Green Lane, between the A61 and Barker Business Park, will be shut for carriageway repairs.
As previously reported by the Stray Ferret, the road is being closed for works carried out by North Yorkshire County Council.
North Yorkshire County Council’s highways team, said:
“Drivers will be able to follow a diversion route to avoid Melmerby Green Lane while the work is in progress and there will also be advance notifications on the A1.”

Traffic and Travel Alert: Diesel spill reported near Menwith HillDrivers are urged to take care after police have reported a diesel spill near Menwith Hill following a crash.
Roads affected include Meagill Lane, A59 towards Harrogate and Hardisty Hill.
North Yorkshire County Council highways is on its way to treat the surface. Police say no injuries have been reported.

Traffic and Travel Alert: Arthurs Avenue due to close for roadworksArthurs Avenue in Harrogate is due to be closed for roadworks.
The road is set to close from 8am today until 5pm and will be shut for works until Friday, February 25.
According to a North Yorkshire County Council traffic order, the road is being closed for work to repair the carriageway.
