Fertility is declining and more couples are turning to fertility treatments, raising questions over whether the UK should allow sperm/egg donors to be paid here. This lecture will explore why some poeple think that war can be just and will ask if and how ancient religious principles and more recent international laws governing a 'just war' can cope with modern conflicts and technologies, both in terms of when it is just to go to war and how a war is fought. This lecture will explore the ethical questions arising from how we conduct business, finance and our wider economic system. Who's interests should businesses consider when making decisions? Should impact on the environment and/or future generations be factored into account? Is money the only, or best way to measure success? Find out more 

This lecture will look into the near future, considering the many implications of recent and immanent developments in artificial intelligence technologies. AI might offer solutions to some of the problems highlighted in previous lectures, but it might also create new and potentially more intractable problems. Can and should AI be regulated?
