Summer of Play at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal

Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, Ripon, HG3 4DY

19th July - 31th August
10:00 am

FREE

Head to National Trust Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal for an entire summer jam packed full of fun and games. Kids will be full of beans but out of puff after they’ve found a cave by the abbey, a dark winding tunnel and spotted the deer in the deer park.

There’s so much going on over the school holidays we guarantee you won’t do the same thing twice. Head to the circus tents on the ball games field everyday of the summer holidays and see what we’ve got in store for you. Try your hand at learning a new skill like the diabolo, plate spinning and juggling. Hang out with Harrogate Town AFC and have a go at some sporty activities. See your favourite cuddly bear flying down a zip wire before safely landing next to the abbey for a teddy bears picnic (must book your space). Take part in a week of environment themed craft workshops led by Alice Dunsmore. And there’s even more to come!

Fancy a challenge? 6 weeks, 6 visits, 6 totally different adventures. We’ve got so much planned for the school summer holidays, one visit won’t be enough.

Free to National Trust members and kids under 5, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal is open 7 days a week, 10am – 6.30pm (last admission at 4.30pm). All summer activities are included in standard admission. Please check the website for the dates and times for specific Summer of Play events.
