A seven-year-old Harrogate boy has shaved his hair as part of the fundraising appeal for his sister, 16-year-old Elizabeth Hatton.
The Stray Ferret reported on Monday that Elizabeth has a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
A fundraising appeal set up to fund treatment, pay for special moments and buy photography equipment has now topped £30,000.
Mateo, who wanted to help his big sister, agreed to shave his hair after Elizabeth lost hers during chemotherapy. Yesterday dad Aaron did the honours as Mateo shed his locks for the cause (see below).

Elizabeth's mum, Victoria Robayna, said the response to the appeal had been "crazy" with many people organising their own fundraisers, including a three peaks challenge and a retro games day. Harrogate Grammar School is also holding a fundraising day for student Elizabeth.
Victoria said:
The family plans to spend some of the funds on an online consultation with American doctor Emily Slotkin, a global expert on treating children with this kind of sarcoma. Nobody has found a treatment that works and only 15% of those diagnosed survive beyond five years.
But the timing of that will depend on how chemotherapy progresses. In the meantime, it will fund memorable trips and experiences for Elizabeth when she is feeling well enough. She is due to switch chemotherapy regimes today.
Her dream is to be a professional photographer specialising in portraits and funds will initially be spent on buying equipment. Photographers have been in touch with the family offering to mentor her.
