Rogers' Almshouses

The brainchild of philanthropist George Rogers (who’s bust sits below the central clock tower), the Almshouses were developed to provide housing for women from respectable backgrounds who had found themselves in poverty.

  • Turn left and then right into Princes Square. In the distance, ahead of you is Hoopers Department Store, your next stop.
