Take part in a charity walk

Saint Michael’s Midnight Glow Walk is taking place in Harrogate this Saturday.

The walk will commence at 10pm from Rossett School and the route will take you across The Stray, through Valley Gardens and around Harrogate Town Centre – all while wrapped in colour, sparkle and good vibes.

Last year, more than 600 participants lit up the streets for Saint Michael’s Midnight Glow Walk – and raised an impressive £50,000 to support the hospice.

The event hub opens at 8.30pm, with live entertainment and refreshments before the walk begins.

£15 to enter, September 13, the walk starts at 10pm, beginning and ending at Rossett School, Green Lane, Harrogate, HG2 9JP.

Take care of your mind, body and soul

If you’re interested in holistic living, the Health and Healing Festival that's returning to the Pavilions of Harrogate may be of interest to you. Be inspired by talks, demonstrations and workshops and discover new ways of dealing with life’s challenges.

Topics cover all subjects connected to the development, harmony, health, and the healing of the mind, body and spirit.

The Yorkshire Voices choir group will also be singing at the event on the Sunday.

Go on a Yarn Trail across North Yorkshire

Now in its fourth year and growing each year, the Yarn Trail is once again bringing together 12 independent yarn shops for its initiative.

Collect a map and a special yarn passport that you can get stamped as you go along the route from one of the participating yarn and wool shops across the county, and visit as many of the stores as possible over the two-week period.

Go to a family-friendly adrenaline-fuelled show

Offering a circus with a difference, be welcomed into Planet Circus’s big top tent where you’re bound to be in awe of the performers who put on a performance to remember.

Featuring everything you would expect from a traditional circus but with a modern twist and thrilling stunt action, your jaw might just be on the floor with some of the acts.

Go to a Maker's Market

KindRoots Collective is hosting its Maker’s Market in Pateley Bridge this weekend.

Promoting local makers and producers, expect to see crafts, art, sweet treats, farm produce and more at this event. 

Championing local talent, exhibitors include NidderdaleShades which produces eclectic handmade lampshades in different fabrics, from countryside to bold contemporary designs and statement pieces, and original acrylic artworks by Dennis McDougall of Nidderdale Arts and Crafts.

There will also be a pop-up kitchen serving a menu of wild-inspired, locally sourced food and drink.
