Popstar Sinitta appears to have become Harrogate's biggest fan.
Sinitta, real name Sinitta Renet Malone, shot to fame after her debut single ‘So Macho’ climbed to number two in the UK charts in 1986.
Fast forward to the early 2000s, she became something of a household name in the UK thanks to her relationship with music producer Simon Cowell. She repeatedly appeared on The X Factor, when she would help Cowell at the judges houses’ stage.
Now in her 60s, Sinitta has swapped the Hollywood lifestyle for the stage and is currently starring in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Bradford's Alhambra Theatre.
But the Seattle-born musician has fallen in love with Harrogate, where she appears to have been staying during the pantomime's run.
Sinitta took to social media to announce her new-found love for the town, alongside a video featuring different local businesses, and told her followers:
I had no idea what to expect when I decided to spend Christmas and New Year in Harrogate… I have been charmed beyond my imaginings. Everyone and everything is just lovely, I feel like #KateWinslet in #TheHoliday! Only a few weeks left… have loved being here.

The Fat Badger, Imagined Things Bookshop, The Yellow Chair, Bettys, The Yorkshire Hotel and a shot of Montpellier Street are all visible in Sinitta’s video.
She also took an opportunity to grab a photo in Harrogate’s photo frame (main image) in Montpellier Gardens.
You can catch Sinitta in Bradford’s pantomime until January 18.
