A paint shop that specialises in eco-friendly formulations is to open in Harrogate next month.
Pirta Decorating Centre will be based in the former Karma Co vintage fashion unit on Cold Bath Road.
The shop, run by husband and wife Rob and Nikki Atkin, will sell a range of low-to-no volatile organic compound paints aimed at sustainability and health-conscious customers.
The range will include cooling paints that can naturally reduce the temperature inside buildings.
Ms Atkin said:
We believe your home should be both beautiful and healthy. Our paints are developed to meet the highest environmental standards while delivering exceptional quality and stunning aesthetics.
The company was founded four years ago to develop cooling technologies that are now being used across the world from Barbados and Miami to Australia, the couple said.
This will be their first high street venture. The precise opening date has yet to be announced.
