A court has ordered an XL Bully-type dog owned by a Harrogate man be destroyed.
The order was made on Tuesday (October 21) following a hearing at York Magistrates Court.
An application sought an order for the destruction a dog named Kali, which is listed as an XL Bully breed-type on court documents, under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Kali is owned by Aiden Rewston, of Lindley Mews.
The reason for the application is not disclosed on court documents, but the informant is listed as North Yorkshire Police.
The application was approved and the court ordered Kali “shall be destroyed” unless an exemption is obtained within two months of the order being made.
