A Harrogate resident has expressed dismay at the number of overflowing bins at a popular beauty spot.
Iain Patton took these photos yesterday (December 31) in the Pinewoods, the 96-acre woodlands frequently used by people walking between Valley Gardens and RHS Garden Harlow Carr.
They show a dog poo bin bursting with bags and a nearby litter bin over capacity.
Mr Patton also sent us a photo of the recycling bins at the Grosvenor Buildings, where he lives, which he said hadn’t been emptied for about three weeks.

He questioned why North Yorkshire Council was unable to provide a better service:
“Council taxes continually increase but residents are being failed. Recycling collections are not regularly happening and public services are an environmental risk and health risk.”
The Stray Ferret has approached the council for comment.
