Fire fighters were called to a tractor fire between Ripley and Bishop Thornton this afternoon.
Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to the fire, which happened on Fountains Road at 3.38pm.
An incident log from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said:
Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to a report of a tractor on fire.
Crews extinguished the fire and cooled the vehicle before using drizzit pads to soak up oil that had leaked onto the road. Crews cordoned off the vehicle and handed the incident over to a responsible person to arrange recovery.
It was the second serious local fire reported today following a blaze at a house in Spofforth in the early hours of the morning.
Fire crews attended the incident, which was reported in the village at 2am.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said all people were outside the property on arrival. The incident log added:
Hose reels and main jets used, along with an aerial ladder platform vehicle to extinguish fire from above.
