Five people who were arrested on suspicion of affray in Bilton have been released on bail.
Armed officers from North Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a number of people making threats to the occupant of a property in the Woodfield area in the early hours of Friday (May 15).
The force said four suspects were arrested initially, with the fifth refusing to come out of a property and making threats.
Police negotiators were called to the scene and at around 10.30am on 15 May, the fifth suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Police said the arrested suspects included four men aged 39, 37, 30, and 20, and a woman aged 19. All were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed today (May 18) that the suspects had been released on conditional bail while police enquiries continue.
