Just when motorists thought their traffic woes had ended on Harrogate’s York Place, further disruption has begun.
Northern Powergrid has closed a section of the left-hand lane towards the Prince of Wales roundabout on the road, which is a main route into the town centre.
The lane closure ends almost opposite the entrance to Kwik Fit.
According to North Yorkshire Council’s roadworks map, the partial closure is in place from today (March 17) until 11.59pm on March 27.

A section of the right-hand lane on Station Parade at the York Place junction is also closed.
Part of the right-hand lane on Station Parade at the junction with York Place was also closed this morning, causing long queues once again.
The disruption comes just over a month after three-way lights at the Prince of Wales roundabout led to queues on Otley Road, Leeds Road and York Place.
A resident described last month’s roadworks as “chaos” at the time, and insisted planned works “must be coordinated better”.
