Peak crocus season plus some of the first sunny weather of the year can only equal one thing: a Stray Ferret gallery.
The crocus display on Harrogate's Stray has been an annual phenomenon for well over 50 years, and is kept going through the efforts of small armies of volunteers who plant more bulbs (or rather, corms) to replace the failing ones each year.
By our reckoning, the first blooms this year poked their heads out at the very beginning of February, but it's taken a few weeks for the rest of them to catch up. Now though, they're all out and looking perfect. See for yourself...
