The Royal Horticultural Society has had its application approved for the continued use of the terrace at the café in the refurbished Harrogate Arms at Harlow Carr Gardens.
The approved application allows the café to use the terrace for another three years, until August 2028, following the application's approval on August 26.
The planning application states that the terrace will be accessible from 8am to 9pm on Monday to Saturday and 9am to 7pm on Sunday.
There were no objections to the application from the council's arboricultural, highways or conservation officers.
No alterations were made to the application from the original submission made in 2022.
The grade-two listed building, which is located just off Crag Lane, had been closed since 2014 and re-opened in 2024 as a café for RHS Harlow Carr.
The café's continued use of the terrace will allow the RHS to continue generating funds for a proposed activity centre, which is planned to be built in the Victorian building as well, next to the café.
The building was originally built in 1844 as a hotel for visitors to Harlow Carr's mineral well and has since been a restaurant, inn and underground nightclub.
