Locals can raise a glass to the return of Harrogate Charity Beer Festival.

The event, organised by Harrogate and District Round Table, sees more than 40 local cask ales on offer.

The festival, which will once again be held at The Crown Hotel, said the two-day event will promise a weekend of “beer, entertainment and fundraising”.

Alongside the wide range of local ales, festivalgoers also be able to choose from keg beer, cider, wine, gin and non-alcoholic drinks.

There will be screenings of the Six Nations rugby, live music and DJ sets throughout the weekend.

Since it was established in 1990, Harrogate Charity Beer Festival has raised more than £500,000 for local organisations.

This year’s event will be in aid of Samaritans, Harrogate and District Community Action, Time Together and Disability Action Yorkshire.

The festival will be kicked off by the 'Business Beers' networking event on Friday, March 6. It will open to the public from 6pm that evening and continue from 1.30pm the following day.
