A Harrogate man has been charged with harassment.
Wayne Ratchford, 52, appeared at York Magistrates Court on Saturday (October 11) accused of one offence of harassment – put in fear of violence.
Court documents allege Mr Ratchford’s behaviour caused a named woman to fear that violence would be used against her between February 23 and March 29.
During that period, the defendant allegedly left the woman multiple voicemails threatening to harm her and engaged in repeated unwanted communications.
A plea was not entered to the charge and the case was adjourned until November 21, when Mr Ratchford, of Fairfax Avenue, is due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates Court.
