The Harrogate-to-Skipton Saturday bus service is to start running again this weekend following the reopening of the A59 at Kex Gill.
The DalesBus 59 to Blubberhouses, Bolton Bridge and Skipton was temporarily suspended due to the emergency closure of the A59 road at Kex Gill following a landslip on New Year’s Day.
Work to remove more than 2,000 tonnes of debris, install new drainage channels and apply around 100 tonnes of clean stone to stabilise the area has now been completed, and the road reopened on Thursday (January 23).

The DalesBus 59 double-decker leaves Harrogate Bus Station every Saturday at 9.35am, 11.50am, 2.45pm and 4.45pm, and returns from Skipton Bus Station at 10.45am, 12.50pm, 3.45pm and 5.45pm.
The full timetable is available online here and in leaflets from local outlets, including Harrogate Bus Station.
In common with local bus services, the maximum single fare on these routes is £3. Under-16s can travel for £1, and senior citizen and disabled bus passes are also valid.
