Harrogate Town defender leaves just two months after joining

A Harrogate Town defender has left the club following the expiry of his short-term contract.

Kyle Jameson signed for Town in late November following a successful trial period, but went on to make just five appearances.

Making his debut as a substitute against MK Dons on December 20, Jameson then went on to start against Salford, Accrington, Tranmere and Crewe.

Jameson joined at a tough time for the Sulphurites, who haven’t won a league game since September.

A 1-1 draw against Crewe was the only point the defender managed to pick up during his time playing for the club.

This will no doubt be a tough time for Jameson, who was also released by Newport County at the end of last season.

But the recent long-term signings of young defenders Cathal Heffernan and Chase Headman seemed to seal his fate.
