Harrogate’s floral heroes were recognised at an awards event at the Cedar Court Hotel last night.
The Harrogate in Bloom awards rewarded individuals and organisations that have enhanced the town through flowers.
Pam Grant, president of Harrogate in Bloom, said she had been involved with the organisation since it started in 1989 when it involved just a few volunteers.
Now it includes a wide range of groups, including Harrogate Business Improvement District, Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, North Yorkshire Council, Harrogate Flower Shows and schools.
Ms Grant said those involved “maintain the town’s reputation as the "floral town of the north".
Nick Smith, director of Harrogate Flower Shows, hosted the awards, which were presented by Phil Airey, operations manager at Horticap, the charity-run nursery on Otley Road.
