A road in Killinghall is set to close for almost two months this year in the latest round of planned roadworks across the Harrogate district.

A list of works sent to North Yorkshire councillors, seen by the Stray Ferret, shows Grainbeck Lane – which connects the B6161 Otley Road and A61 Ripon Road – will close entirely between June 22 and August 14.

But that’s not all for Otley Road, as Northern Powergrid work running for 14 weeks between April and August will also cause disruption on the road. 

Yorkshire Water work will be carried out on Harrogate’s Duchy Road between November 24 and January 25, when there will be two-way lights in place.

Multi-way signals will also be in place on Knaresborough’s Chain Lane from Monday (February 9) until February 15 as Yorkshire Water continues work which started last year.
