A man has denied making a series of phone calls to the emergency services to cause annoyance.
Mark Humphrey pleaded not guilty to one count of persistently making use of a public communication network – namely 999 – to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Thursday (May 8).
The 40-year-old defendant, of Ferrars Road in Sheffield, spoke only to confirm his name, address and to deny the charge.
The offence is alleged to have happened in Harrogate between November 17, 2024, and January 21, 2025.
A trial date was set for August 14, 2025.
