A Harrogate man wanted in connection with a rape investigation is still at large.
North Yorkshire Police has been trying to locate Clifford Church, who is also wanted for breaching his probation conditions, following the reported rape of a woman in Harrogate on August 7.
Officers have renewed the appeal today (August 20) as the hunt to find Church continues.
The force now believes the 62-year-old suspect is in Leeds and has been using buses and trains to travel around the city.
Church has a number of tattoos, including a dot on his left check and a half-inch line to his eyebrow, police said.
He has “NUFC”, “Newcastle United”, "UB40", a love heart, a cross near his wrist and dotted lines on wrist tattooed on his left arm.
Police added he has tattoos of a ship and web across his right arm.
Clifford was last seen carrying a rucksack and wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black trainers.
Today’s statement added:
He also has connections to York, Durham and the Cleveland area.
Extensive enquiries are continuing to find him and officers are appealing to anyone who has seen him or knows where he is now to contact them as a matter of urgency.
We’re also appealing to passengers, drivers and operators of buses, taxis and trains to contact us if they have seen him.
Officers are also warning anyone who may be harbouring him that are committing a criminal offence and may face prosecution.
