A monthly Harrogate market will be extended until the end of the year.

The Makers Market began in June this year and was introduced to showcase local independent traders on Cambridge Street.

Originally planned to last until September, Harrogate Business Improvement District is now working with local market provider Real Markets to extend the operation until December. This follows positive feedback from businesses and the public about the operation.

The market, which operated on the third Sunday of every month, aimed to increase footfall and spend in the town.

Bethany Allen, operations manager at Harrogate BID, said:

We were thrilled to bring the Makers Market to Harrogate in June and after seeing its success, we just knew it had to carry on.

We’d like thank all the traders who have taken part and contributed to the success, as well as the unwavering support from local businesses. We are excited to see the event develop over the Autumn and Winter months and hopefully grow it into 2026.

Lucy Allen, of Real Markets, said:

We’re thrilled that this market is so well supported by Harrogate and visitors to the town – it has quickly become a firm favourite with our traders and customers alike.

The Makers Market will take place every third Sunday of the month from 10am – 4pm on Cambridge Street, starting on October 19.

The next events are planned for Sunday, November 16 and Sunday, December 21.
