Radio presenter Sara Cox will run through the Harrogate district as part of a mammoth Children in Need challenge this week.
Ms Cox's Great Northern Marathon Challenge will see her run 135 miles in five days from Kielder Forest in Northumberland to get Pudsey bear to Pudsey in West Yorkshire — the equivalent of a marathon a day.
The broadcaster started her journey today, and at the time of writing, had just passed Birtley.
She is expected to arrive in the district on Thursday.
She will begin the day in Richmond then make her way to Masham before passing through Kirkby Malzeard, Grantley, and Sawley. She will finish in Ripley and is expected to stay in the area that night.
Her Friday route will see the presenter pass through Killinghall, Beckwithshaw, and Leathley before entering into Leeds.
Road closures are expected in Ripley between Thursday and Friday (Nov 13-14).
The entire length of Main Street will be closed to vehicles while Ms Cox passes through the village.
North Yorkshire Council’s roadworks map suggests no more road closures are associated with the event.
