Raworths is proud to support the Stray Ferret Christmas Appeal 2025 for the fantastic work of Henshaws. All money raised goes directly to this charity.
Please help us reach our Christmas Appeal target by donating whatever you can to an amazing local cause.
We are still well off the £5,000 we're hoping to raise for Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre – and with our appeal ending on Boxing Day, time is running out!
The centre in Knaresborough offers creative opportunities for people with sight loss and other disabilities. It's no exaggeration to say it is transforming lives: through creativity, disabled adults are able to express themselves and discover their talents, grow in confidence, have fun and make friends. They find a sense of purpose and belonging.
But the centre is desperate for more space and now has a waiting list.
Every penny you donate to our Christmas Appeal will go directly to help Henshaws build two brand-new workshops at the Arts and Crafts Centre.
We have raised just over £2,000 so far through our Christmas Appeal. This is fantastic – thank you to everyone who has donated; it's hugely appreciated.
But we really do need more! Even just a fiver, or whatever you can spare, will really make such a difference to the Arts and Crafts Centre and the people desperate to go there.
It's easy to donate and you can do so anonymously if you prefer. All money raised will go directly to the purpose-built workshops at Henhsaws, thanks to the generous sponsorship of our appeal by Raworths Solicitors in Harrogate.
Thank you to the following readers for their donations:
Yvonne Skelton, Matthew Webber, Eileen Toop, Joe Kissane, David Ireland, Stan Owram, Joanna Moody, Malcolm More, Luke L, Victoria, David Thornborrow, Simon Whitby, Caroline Jaycock, Jude, Barbie Kemp, Rose Danby, Rachel Jones and Edward Blundell.
Please consider making a donation to our appeal right now, and give the transformative gift of creativity this Christmas to disabled adults in the local area.
For people like Jenna, Karina, Olivia, Cameron, Hannah, Stefi and their families, the centre provides a lifeline not just at Christmas, but every day of the year. Please read their stories to discover just how vital Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre is for them.
