A company that brands itself as a “railway station coffee specialist” is opening at Harrogate train station.
A Gourmet Coffee Bar and Kitchen poster has been put up in the window of the former Secret Bakery unit at the station, which says the company is recruiting.
No jobs for the Harrogate site are being advertised currently, however the company this morning (May 15) confirmed to the Stray Ferret it will be opening a local branch.
“We are definitely opening in Harrogate, but [opening] dates have not been decided yet”, a staff member said.
The Gourmet Coffee Bar and Kitchen employee also said when jobs are ready to be advertised, they will be uploaded to recruitment site Indeed.
Established in 2007, the company describes itself as the “UK’s leading independent railway station coffee specialist”.
Gourmet Coffee Bar and Kitchen currently operates coffee shops and kiosks across the country, with the nearest locations currently in Castleford and Manchester.
Food is also served at the sites.
The Stray Ferret will provide more information on the new opening when it becomes available.

A poster has been put up on the inside the unit's window.
Bailiffs repossessed the Secret Bakery site on Station Parade in February last year, as reported by the Stray Ferret.
The unit has remained vacant since, but a new lease of life now looks to be on the horizon.
