Two men have admitted kidnapping a man in Harrogate.
Michael Balog, 24, and Liam Edmonson, 28, both of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to the offence yesterday (November 17) at York Crown Court.
According to the Crown Prosecution Service indictment, Balog and Edmonson unlawfully and by force or fraud took or carried away a named man against his will.
Edmonson also denied assault occasioning actual bodily harm but admitted a lesser offence of common assault.
All charges relate to what North Yorkshire Police described as a “violent incident”, which occurred at around 4pm on October 7 in the Jennyfields area.
Both men have been remanded in custody and will be sentenced at York Crown Court on January 14.
