North Yorkshire Police has revealed why armed officers were called to a street in Harrogate on Saturday (August 16).
Several police vans were called to Mayfield Grove shortly before 9am.
The Stray Ferret contacted the force for further information on the day of the incident.
A police spokesperson said today:
At 8.45am on Saturday morning we were called to reports of an altercation at an address on Mayfield Grove.
Officers commenced an area search to try and locate an individual who had left the property. Enquiries are continuing.
The spokesperson confirmed armed officers were present. No further information was released.
Three murders have taken place in the Mayfield Grove area in the last three years.
