North Yorkshire Police confirmed tonight (December 24) that the woman was found dead at a property in the Skipton Road area at 10.19am yesterday.
A statement from police said:
"At around 10.19am yesterday we were called by the ambulance service to the sudden death of a woman in her 20s at a property.
"There has been a police presence at the scene, whilst enquiries were carried out.
"Following a thorough investigation, we can confirm that we are not treating the woman’s death as suspicious.
"A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the woman's death, but he has now been released with no further action following the necessary enquiries."
