Knaresborough golfer John Parry has won almost £120,000 after finishing in tied-14th place at a PGA Tour competition at the weekend.
Parry, 39, finished 10 shots under par at the Valero Texas Open, which ran from Thursday to Sunday (April 5).
Competing against golfing heavyweights including Tommy Fleetwood, Robert MacIntyre and tournament winner J.J. Spaun, Parry put in a performance reminiscent of his incredible last season on the DP World Tour.
Such displays have alluded Parry for much of his first full season in America so far, with the Yorkshireman only managing one top-10 finish and three top-25 finishes in his first nine tournaments stateside.
By comparison, Parry broke into the top 10 seven times and into the top 25 13 times in 32 appearances on the European tour last year, winning once.
However, the American Tour is often seen as the most difficult tour, due to the depth of elite players competing.
Parry has made the cut nine times out of nine and earned a whopping £403,200 so far this season. For a player adjusting to life in America, that's certainly not to be sniffed at.

And the former pupil of King James's School in Knaresborough is making sure he enjoys every second of it.
Speaking to the DP World Tour in February, he said:
I always wanted to play the PGA Tour. As I got older, it became a thing where you think, ‘Am I ever going to be able to do it?’
On the PGA Tour, you’re allowed to practise at the Tournament Players Club courses for free, so me and Dan went out a week early and practised at Sawgrass. It’s 9am in the morning, and I’m driving round the golf course in a buggy, playing the stadium course and that’s the sort of time that you pinch yourself. Coming from playing the EuroPro Tour to there is quite a big leap, isn't it?
John Parry is currently ranked the 82nd in the world.
He has not qualified for this week's US Masters Tournament.
