A holiday park near Knaresborough looks set to have new owners for the second time this year.
Kingfisher Holiday Park, off Low Moor Lane, at Scotton, has about 80 static caravans and 35 touring and camping pitches, as well as two lakes and a nature reserve.
The park’s facilities also include electric hook-ups for grass and hard-standing pitches, laundry facilities, and a toilet and shower building.
It was acquired by Park Holidays UK last month and became part of the Bexhill-based company’s portfolio of 55 UK parks.
But Sun Communities, the American real estate investment trust which owns Park Holidays UK, announced today (May 26) it had struck a deal with American asset management company Aermont.
Sun Communities said in a statement it had reached a “definitive agreement with Aermont on the sale of all the group's UK assets”, adding:
“This is subject to the completion of regulatory and governance approvals and is anticipated to complete in the second half of 2026.”
Jeff Sills, chief executive of Park Holidays UK, said:
"We look forward to the next chapter for the business under Aermont’s ownership and remain excited about the opportunities ahead."
Giovanni Manfredi, managing director at Aermont, added "We are delighted to be part of the extraordinary business that the team at Park Holidays UK has created, and we look forward to supporting the company as it embarks on its next phase of the growth".
