A Knaresborough man has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting a young girl.
Rhys Bolton, 21, was cleared by a jury today (January 9) after a one-day trial at York Crown Court.
Mr Bolton, of Appleshaw Close, was charged with one count of sexually assaulting the girl by touching.
He appeared for trial on Thursday, January 8, when Soheil Khan opened the case for the prosecution.
Mr Khan alleged that Mr Bolton sexually assaulted the girl in June 2022 when he was 17 years’ old.
Mr Bolton denied the allegation and was cleared by a jury following a short trial. The girl cannot be named for legal reasons.
