Trains continue to be cancelled this evening following after a section of Viaduct Terrace in Knaresborough collapsed this afternoon.
All trains on the line between Harrogate and York were shown as cancelled shortly before 6pm evening.
According to National Rail services are expected to be affected until 7pm tonight (February 8).
It follows an incident in which a section of Viadict Terrace appears to have collapsed into the River Nidd.
Rail operator Northern said:
"Due to urgent repairs to the railway between York and Harrogate all the line is blocked until later tonight. This means trains will be short notice delayed or cancelled.
"Instead you will be able to make this journey via Micklefield. Network Rail engineers are expected on site soon."
Rail replacement services, stopping at Starbeck, are operating between Harrogate and Knaresborough.
Viaduct Terrace is a pedestrianised walkway alongside the river, beneath the train line.
