Explore your artistic side at the Harrogate Quilting and Sewing Show

The Harrogate Quilting & Sewing Show returns this February with three days of colourful quilt displays, a wide range of patchwork, sewing and textile exhibits, hands-on workshops and expert demonstrations to inspire makers and crafters of all levels.

There is a varied exhibition programme, from modern and contemporary quilt collections to themed group displays and textile art inspired by nature, colour and geometric design.

Advance tickets (available until Wednesday 4 February) £9.50 for adults, £8.50 for seniors (65+) and disabled visitors, rising on the door to £12 for adults and £11 for seniors and disabled visitors, children under 16 go free.

History lovers can discover the stories, characters and moments that have shaped Masham on Masham’s Peculier Guided History Tour, a volunteer-led walking tour that brings the town’s unique past to life with tales from Saxon saints to Victorian ambition.

The walk can be followed independently using highlighted points along the route or taken as a guided tour led by local volunteers with proceeds supporting local charities.

Twenty-five years on from the release of Peter Jackson’s movie adaptation of The Fellowship of the Ring, Lord of the Rings fans can put their knowledge to the test with a quiz hosted by The Geek Pub Quiz.

The quiz features four rounds of Middle-earth trivia with prizes to be won and takes place in the cinema’s main bar area, with no booking required.

Those looking to unwind can enjoy a calming Mindfulness, Sound and Reiki experience in Ripon led by experienced mindfulness coach Rachel Clark-Wilson.

Participants can expect a deeply restorative experience combining guided mindfulness and meditation, immersive sound healing with Reiki, and a gentle closing reflection over herbal tea to promote relaxation, healing and connection.
