The Harrogate Autumn Flower Show held at Newby Hall, near Ripon.

Up to 30,000 visitors are expected to attend Harrogate Autumn Flower Show at Newby Hall next weekend.

The event, which takes place from September 13 to 15, is organised by the North of England Horticultural Society, which also stages the spring flower show in Harrogate.

Visitors will be able to admire beautiful floral displays and find inspiration for their gardens as well as attend live talks and demonstrations on four stages.

The ticket price also includes entry to the gardens and children’s adventure playground at Newby Hall, which is midway between Ripon and Boroughbridge. The gardens include some of the longest herbaceous borders in Europe, a rose garden, a tropical garden and a rock garden.

The Grow! stage at the show will include demonstrations from celebrity floral designer Jonathan Moseley. Horticultural experts will share their passion for gardens, nature and wellbeing on the human gardener stage and the pick and preserve stage will give ideas on how to transform the season’s bounty into produce and how to successfully dry flowers.

Garden shopping, crafts, gifts and food and drink will also be available.

Show director Nick Smith said:

We are thrilled to host the autumn flower show at Newby Hall again this year. It’s a beautiful location that truly embodies the spirit of horticulture, and we have an incredible lineup of exhibitors, installations, and live stage events.

Adult tickets cost £28.00 plus a £1.50 admin fee. Under-16s and general parking are free.
