Ripon Grammar School will be closed tomorrow (March 16) due to a gas leak.
Deputy headteacher Kevin Auger contacted parents this evening with the news.
His message said:
Please note that due to a gas leak the school will be closed tomorrow — Monday.
The site is closed to all staff and pupils until further notice — an update will follow tomorrow.
Mr Auger’s message added there wouldn’t be any Teams lessons tomorrow “but this might close if the closure is longer than expected”.
Ripon Grammar, which has about 950 pupils, has been named the top-performing state school in the north for 10 years running by the Sunday Times.
