A Knaresborough woman who admitted being more than three times over the drink-drive limit has been handed a 25-month driving ban.
Olivia Ann Salmons, 18, pleaded guilty to one count of drink-driving at York Magistrates Court yesterday.
Salmons was arrested on January 31 after police on patrol spotted a broken down blue Peugeot 307 estate on Cemetery Road in York.
North Yorkshire Police said at the time the front nearside of the car was badly damaged and Salmons failed a roadside breath test.
At the police station, her evidential sample showed 107 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is just 35 micrograms.
Salmons was sentenced to a 12-month community order, which included a 12-month alcohol treatment course and 10 days of rehabilitation activity.
She was also given a 25-month driving ban. However, this could be reduced by 25 weeks if she completes the rehabilitation course.
