A collection of seven stone-built townhouses is being built in a residential area close to Harrogate town centre.

JWT Homes purchased the site at Back Tewit Well Road, close to the railway line, in April last year and has started construction work on four of the townhouses.

It expects to complete this phase by June this year before the next three houses are built in a second phase.

A spokesperson for JWT developments said the properties represented a rare opportunity so close to the town centre. They added:

“Our vision is to create a boutique collection of seven luxury townhouses that will shake-up what is currently available in the Harrogate property market, featuring contemporary interiors that bring a touch of London specification to the centre of Harrogate.
"I believe the development provides prospective buyers with a unique opportunity to purchase a new home that is a stone's throw away from the Stray and all the town's amenities. With only apartments currently being built in the centre, it's a breath of fresh air to be able to deliver the only new housing scheme."

Each house has secure parking with electric vehicle charging points. Prices start at £695,000.
