Shop at the Knaresborough and Harrogate Artisan Market

Visit the Artisan Market held at Knaresborough Castle on June 1 and Harrogate’s very own Valley gardens on June 2.

Little Bird Market

Organised by The Little Bird Made, this is sure to be a fantastic shopping experience where visitors can browse through quirky stalls that sell a diverse range of locally produced arts and crafts.

Find jewellery, flowers, ceramics, food and so much more.

Free entry. Knaresborough market opens from 10am-3pm June 1, and Harrogate market opens 10am-3pm June 2. Knaresborough Castle, Waterside, HG5 8AS. Valley Gardens, Harrogate, HG1 2SZ.

Admire the gardens at Great Ouseburn’s Garden Festival 

Summer has arrived and the gardens are in bloom. At Great Ouseburn’s Garden Festival, a variety of stunning gardens of all shapes and sizes are on display to inspire you.

You can chat to the owners for top tips and watch demonstrations and talks throughout the day, with a chance to get refreshments from the cafe too.

Great Ouseburn Garden Festival

There is live music, pizza making, a miniature ride-on-stream train, and even a raffle. The money raised from this event will go to village causes.

£7.50 entry on arrival. Under 16s free. Free parking, dogs on leads welcome. 11am-5pm on Sunday June 2. Great Ouseburn Village Hall, Lightmire Lane, reat Ouseburn, YO26 9RT.

Come to Alchemy Live’s Dire Straits tribute performance 

Alchemy Live formed in 2022 and are a lively and talented group of musicians with a mutual love for Dire Straits and lead singer Mark Knopfler.

They may not look like the original rock band, but they certainly do sound like it.

Their attentiveness to instrumental details and guitar solos will take you back to the days of rock and roll, creating a fun evening of cool melodies and funky beats.

Ticket prices are £18 per person, booking fees apply. Saturday June 1. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm. Fraizer Theatre, Park Crest, Knaresborough, HG5 0EQ.

Feast at the Great British BBQ at Swinton estate 

Join the Great British BBQ held at the Deer House on Swinton Estate to feast with your family.

With beautiful views of the grounds and a cheerful atmosphere, it's the perfect destination for families and friends to enjoy warm weather and great food made by the chefs.

There is grilled food and a salad selection available, with a dessert option available which is bought separately.

Go to Washburn Heritage Centre 

The Washburn Heritage Centre is showcasing their program this weekend called ‘Inspired by our Landscape,’ based on the beautiful art and buildings influenced by landscapes of Washburn Valley.

The program will explore how artists have interpreted these landscapes through art, poetry and writing. There will be talks, workshops, music, and more.

Alongside this, the center’s tearoom will be open on Saturday and Sunday where you can take delight in tasty cakes and lunches.
