Man racially assaulted in Harrogate town centre

Police are appealing for witnesses following a racially aggravated assault in Harrogate.

According to a North Yorkshire Police statement, the victim was attacked on a Saturday night on Albert Street, in the town centre.

The statement added:

"The victim who was in his car at the time of the offence was approached by a man who verbally and physically assaulted him.
"Police are now requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"In particular, officers are appealing for information from a group of women who were on Albert Street at the time of the incident."


The incident happened at about 8.40pm on Saturday, February 3.
