Oatlands M&S closes yet again!
The Marks & Spencer food hall at Oatlands in Harrogate has closed its doors to customers for the third time this week due to power issues.
The store, on Leeds Road, is expected to reopen tomorrow (June 27).
Today's closure is the third in four days. It also closed on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
Shoppers saw staff wheeling produce out of the shop to back-up cold storage today.
One source said one section of fridges had been out of use for several days, limiting the options available to customers.
They added they understood the repeated power cuts were "due to the fans on the roof being unable to cope with the current extreme temperatures”.
Responding to our enquiry into the stores closure today, a spokesperson for M&S said,
Our team is working hard to re-open the store as quickly as possible following a temporary power cut today. Thank you to our customers for their patience and we're sorry for the inconvenience caused.
