Bonfire Night 2025: A guide to events in the Harrogate district

With bonfire night just around the corner, the Stray Ferret has put together a list of celebrations happening around the Harrogate district.

Saturday, November 1

Rudding Park Bonfire Night, Harrogate

5.45pm – 7.30pm – Return of the annual Rudding Park bonfire and fireworks display. There will be a family fire and LED show starting at 5.45pm, followed by the bonfire lighting and fireworks display. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and fireworks will start at 7pm. Tickets include a voucher to redeem a food and drink item from the outdoor stalls.

Yolk Farm, Minskip

4.30pm onwards – Firework-free bonfire night. Bonfire, street food, live country music, and drinks available. The bonfire will be lit at 6.45pm. No fireworks will be set off.

Tickets £6.50 per person, under-1s go free. Tickets can be bought here.

Fantastic Fireworks, Lightwater Valley, North Stainley

5.15pm start – 10 minute firework display with synchronised music. Included with day ticket for Frightwater Valley event.

Sunday, November 2

The Queen's Head Inn Bonfire, Kettlesing

4pm – 10pm – The pub will be closed as it hosts a ticket-only bonfire night event. A hog roast, burgers, and vegetarian food will be available alongside a charity cake stall. Sparklers and glow sticks will be for sale, and a £5 silent disco will be on. Fireworks will start at 7pm.

£9 for adults, £4 for children under 16.

Harrogate Railway Centre Fireworks Spectacular, Starbeck

From 3pm - Firework display with fairground attractions and live music. Gates open at 3pm, with fireworks starting at 6:30pm.

Adults £3, under-16s free but must be accompanied by an adult.

Spofforth Village Bonfire and Fireworks, Spofforth

Sunday, November 2, 5pm-7:30pm – Bonfire and fireworks display at Spofforth Cricket Club. Live music, hot food and a bar are available. Tickets can be purchased from Spofforth Deli and Post Office.

Family ticket £12.50, Adult £4, Child £2.50.

Monday, November 3

Autumn Lights, Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate

3pm start – firework display with street food, drinks bar, funfair, live music and entertainment. Children’s fireworks and SFX show starts at 7.40pm. Finale fireworks and SFX show starts at 9.15pm.

Adults (17+) £18, Children (4-16) £10, under-4s go free. Book tickets here.

Tuesday, November 4

Knaresborough Cricket Club, Knaresborough

6pm onwards - fireworks display at Knaresborough Cricket Club. Music, hot & cold refreshments, light-up novelties, and a bar will be available. Gates open at 6pm, fireworks start at 7pm. Sparklers are not permitted.

Tickets can be bought online or at the gate. Adults £5, children £3. Book tickets here.

Wednesday, November 5

Bamber and Brown Barista Bar, Harrogate

5pm-7pm – A bonfire will be held at the venue with jacket potatoes and chilli, hotdogs and drinks available. Tickets can only be purchased at the dog-friendly café – no fireworks or sparklers allowed.

Tickets £5, children 12 and under go free.

Grewelthorpe Bonfire and Fireworks, Grewelthorpe

Bonfire and firework display at ‘Lofty’s Field’ behind The Crown Inn, Grewelthorpe. The bonfire will be lit at 6.15pm, fireworks start at 7pm. A food truck and cake stall will be present. Glowsticks will be available to purchase. No sparklers allowed. Wear sturdy footwear and bring torches.

Entry by cash donations on the gate.

Friday, November 7

Belmont Grosvenor School Bonfire Night, Birstwith

6pm-8pm – Bonfire and low-noise fireworks display will be held at the school. A s’mores station, face painting station, hot food and drinks, and a licensed bar will all be available.

Adults £10 in advance, £12 on the night. Children go free. Book tickets here.

Ripon Racecourse Bonfire

5.30pm onwards – Bonfire and firework display at Ripon Racecourse. Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 7pm, and fireworks begin at 7.30pm. Tickets can be booked in advance or bought at the gate.

Advance tickets: £5 Adults, £2 Children, £12 Family ticket (2 Adults 2 Children). Tickets at the gate: £6 Adults, £3 Children. Children under 3 go free.

Harrogate Round Table Stray Bonfire and Fireworks, The Stray, Harrogate

5pm – 8.30pm – The annual Harrogate Round Table fireworks and bonfire is confirmed to take place on the Stray near Oatlands.

£5 suggested donation to Martin House Children’s Hospice.

Mother Shipton's Inn Bonfire, Knaresborough

5pm onwards – Bonfire night Guy Fawkes competition. Special prizes available for the best hand-made Guy Fawkes. A garden bonfire, hotdogs, mulled cider and hot cocktails are all available.

Shooting Holme Fireworks Display, Masham

5.30pm-7.30pm - Masham’s Annual Bonfire & Fireworks takes place on the Shooting Holme near the bridge. Food, refreshments and bar all available from 5.30pm. Bonfire lighting at 6.15pm and fireworks at 7pm. All Masham pubs available to welcome you afterwards.

Pateley Showground Fireworks, Pateley Bridge

Torchlight procession and bonfire starts at 6.30pm, fireworks start at 7pm. Pulled pork, hot dogs and hot chocolate available. Best Guy competition – bring your Guy before 6pm for the chance to win a prize.

Entry by donation. Suggested donation £4 per person, £15 per family.
