St John's Choir from Knaresborough are to head to London to perform at Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle.
During the summer breaks, Westminster Abbey and St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle maintain their services by welcoming visiting singers from around the world.
Choirs must prove a high standard of singing for their applications to be accepted, which St John's did.
Its members will be singing a service of choral evensong on August 3 and 4, rounding off a busy few months that has seen the choir perform at Salisbury Cathedral, Durham Cathedral and York Minster, all the while continuing regular services at St John's and other local churces.
The choir will perform The Knaresborough Service by local composer Philip Wilby at both venues.
Mark Hunter, St John's director of music, said:
We are both delighted and excited to have the opportunity to sing and support the worship in two such magnificent, iconic and historic buildings.
Obviously, there are a few nerves, but we are well prepared and very much looking forward to representing both St John's Church and Knaresborough.
St John's Choir will be singing choral evensong in Westminster Abbey at 5pm on August 3 and two services at St George's Chapel on August 4, choral mattins at 10:45am and choral evensong at 5:15pm.
