A police dog helped to find a man after reports of a burglary in progress at Marks & Spencer in Harrogate.
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement it was alerted to an ongoing incident at the Cambridge Street store in the early hours of yesterday.
The statement added:
A large amount of spirits and champagne had been stolen.
Our officers attended immediately, and — with the help of police dog Thor — located suspected stolen property, and a man nearby.
The man was arrested and charged with burglary. He was due to appear at York Magistrates Court today (May 8).
