North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information after a Range Rover Evoque was stolen overnight in Ripon.

The car, which is worth as much as £58,000 when new, was stolen from Knaresborough Road at around 7.10pm last night (November 4).

Police are asking for information from witnesses, as well as urging people to check their doorbell or dashcam footage.

People are also reminded to ensure vehicles are always left locked, even when being left for a short time, and that keys should be kept securely in the house, away from doors and windows.

Police also suggested additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, trackers or Faraday pouches for keyless vehicles.
