Thieves have stolen £13,000 worth of electric cable drums from Harrogate District Hospital.
Police said the cable was last seen on the January 26 at around 4.30pm and the theft was discovered at 07.15am on the January 27.
Officers said it is believed the thieves would have used the entrance on Willaston Road and a large vehicle would have been needed to remove the cable.
A North Yorkshire Police statement added:
